The Internet connection is not working as usual, espacially for these past few days. So post everything here so that i don't forget. 2 things just happened recently, Promos and IHG.

There is a chinese idiom that goes: (“If you want to grow a plant, it won't grow well, but if you do not put your heart and soul to it, you will get results!” (Poor translation, bear with it!)

The 1^st part of the idiom applies to promos.

How do I think i do for promos? I think and hope is better than mid-year? Cos mid-year i didn't really study, and promo i did study some haha. However, I somehow feel that it won't produce very good results, maybe pass can? o.o!!!

GP compo, hope can pass. GP compre die. Hope can just pass ^^ [ME: 45, EE:50]

Maths a lot ppl said it's hard, but strangely I don't really think so. I think is everyone got used to the 2008 promo paper, like me. =P Got spammed that particular night on whether I will get 100 or not, which is like huh? Nah, I only see a small small ray of hope to get 100, but realistic a bit, I tink 85 would do? [ME: 85, EE:90]

Geog, I went in with 0 content knowledge. Dunno how I will do, BUT if the rumor is true that you can pass 3H2 and just pass 1H1. Then I won't care about this stupid H1 subject. =P [ME: 45, EE: 50]

Chem, hope I don't let Jasimar down! (Like as if i am a pro student, but haha) I thought P2 was easier than P1, and even planning question i wrote some crap! So at least give me 1 mark, or 2, or more also can ^^ [ME: 55, EE: 60]

Physics, dunno wad to say. Don't think is easy. =( But this subject, CANNOT fail. T_T Cos fail already then die. [ME: 50, EE: 60]

Don't really care about Chinese. Cos must work hard for A levels! [ME: 60, EE: 70]

PW i got back I & R draft 1, got ME (L), not too bad! Hope draft 2 gets better. [ME: ME, EE: EE]

Promos, imagine if can get promoted, how good is that! For the 1^st time studying, i suddenly feel that there is a chance not to get promoted, cos always took promotion for granted. Haix...

Ok that's the end for all the crapping about promos, I won't see it for 30 days! ^^

The 2^nd part of the idiom applies to the Inter-house games today!

I, Warren and Jeffery took part in the board games section. And somehow we won 1^st haha. ^^ (I can only say too lucky!) Because...

Firstly, Warren isn't really good at Chinese Chess (so that part gone!) So we expected 0!

Secondly, I am not very good at reversi / othello (whatever you call it), so i expected to win 2 out of 5 matches?

So if 2 games are down out of 3, even if Jeffery won anything, it would be useless haha...

Surprisingly is not!

• Jeffery won almost every match at IC! (too pro =.=)

• Warren won 2 matches! (wow! ^^)

• I won everything at Reversi. (If Alexis is seeing this blog, she will sure shout “Oi humble ar!”)

Haha actually is lucky win de. Almost lost 2 or 3 matches. =.= Cos some are really good, but because they forgot see something then just put, so therefore i win. If they see properly sure win de!

So morning played with a Darwin guy who was not bad! Then a Keller girl who had a group of friends supporting her who is even better I think? After that is a Nobel girl who was a reserve that replaced a guy. Those 2 are damn pro! But cos the guy helped the girl halfway, so like she confused. That's what I tink haha? If not there is no chance for me to win de. So win already, it is my favourite time of the day again – Lunch. =P

Lunch ate chicken chop rice, nothing special. ^^

After lunch i supposed to play with a Polo guy (not the ones u see on TV). So somehow is a walkover then. O.O Therefore i played one informal game with Gab, and i lost. T_T Oh well, there is someone better than me! XD Like lol obviously? Tried my best, so no regrets!

After the informal round, play loads of informal games with Shawn, Farah, and quite a lot of ppl. Quite fun! Then also played some IC, CC with Warren and got owned =.=

If we win the semi-finals, it is a sure win for medal! If not, more stressed at finals!

After that is the semi-finals? Which we were told Semi-Finals is Byron VS Byron! Which dosen't make sense at all. Oh well, we took the challenge in the end. So,

Jeffery VS an Ambassador club girl for IC

I VS one also another very nervous guy (i think?) for Reversi

Warren VS Ace for CC (Is the name spelt correctly?)

So obviously, Warren got owned totally, no questions asked. The guy i played with is also like trembling? So we took a 5 mins break halfway lol! Cool down, if not continue at that rate sure die, but now come to think of it, why get so nervous? Maybe can get 3rd? XD

After i told Jeffery I won, I and Warren rushed to Cafe to buy hot dog and eat. =.= Dunno for wad reason, then we were predicting Jeffery will win or not.

So after eating, we went back, and Jeffery's game only had 7 / 32 pieces missing...

Killed time by playing omok on Reversi chess board with Warren, 8-1, 8 to me. =P After that, Jeffery said he won! Haha extremely happy! Cos at least got something to bring home. I and Warren were then happy and kept asking when is the finals?

The finals is a fake, don't even have a finals in the end. =.= Made the whole Byron house so tense at the semi-finals. (Byron house in this case refers to only 6 people)

Nothing interesting happened... Except Byron tio 4 demerit points... o.o

Prize presentation in the evening, 357 medals given out... And only a miserable few given to Byron. T_T Nvm, this shows that there is a lot of room for improvement for next year.

Board games was given out last, and the 1^st position got it the last! So aka is the last of the last. So when announce 3^rd place Board games, people around me is shouting prepare, then I see 2^nd place, starting to scare myself is it me go up? Then when announce our house, I see the 3 ppl whom we beat at the semi-finals stand up and running up. Let me try summarise my feelings in 50 words or less (prepare for Chinese A-levels)

When I saw the 3 people went up, I felt shocked and surprised, because I thought is me and Warren going up. My mind went blank and I forgot what i needed to do. I also felt happy for the 3 people because they can receive an award. (48 words) [10 / 10 answer]

Ok that was lame. Just I and Warren thought nvm and everybody is asking why I never go out, the 3 people came and ask us why my team nvr go up. More shocked... So I and Warren tried to go up, and then the prize presentation is over, and it is going to be EXTREMELY embarassing to go up. So aiya, low profile, claim after PP. Almost screamed at Warren for discouraging me to go up, but then also remembered i also thought is 3 people. =P

Asked KKK for our prize (dragging Jeffery along) and said we forgot to take prize, KKK gave the diao look, and then there was some confusion, which I thank my lucky stars that Warren was around!

6 people, 4 medals awarded to Board games!!! I think the preparation for board games failed. =.= Just imagined if I went up, I think Mrs Tan would ask: “What are you 2 monkeys doing here, I just gave away the medals.”

Super embarassing, if that happened. Lucky! So in the end, my team got the proper board games 1^st award. The other team 1 got the proper one, the other 2 chose the sports they wanted. o.o!

I rather get the board games, cos I am NOT a sports kind of person, and my sports suck, nt even deserving of bronze.

Hmm, happy that i got the medal! 1^st time leh! (And maybe the only time) Haha need to thank a lot of people for giving support. =P

Jeffery for contributing so many points to go for semi-finals.

the jellyfish is back. Posting on the past 1.5 weeks activities. O_O

It is the 3rd week of the holidays already, and unlike past holidays, i really feel that this holiday is very fast and wished it would pass slowly, unlike previous holidays which i was desperately waiting for it to end.

Last week i revised chem with Warren and PH? Recapped some things on gaseous state, Atomic structure and energetics, so it should be quite a useful week. =)

There are actually 3 significant events?

1st event - CIP on promoting vegetarian meal.

5th June night and 6th June morning.

On a friday night and saturday morning, while everyone could be playing games at home, adults could be having dinners and kids would be shouting and screaming in their homes just to take a toy stuck somewhere in the cupboard. I was promoting eating vegetarian food to the public in Bugis. =.=

Never had i realise that it was actually quite difficult to approach the public to actually sign a pledge. So on friday night, I, Warren, PH and WL just went as a group and tried to approach people, and we ended up walking all over the place. Well we managed to find some people to sign, but there was 1 old couple who is really good in English, and he gave a lot of advice about not letting people to sign religous things. I totally gave a o.o!!! expression.

What has vegetarian meal got to do anything with religion?

After 8.30pm, we walked to Suntec City and walked around. We went to the fountain of wealth, and met this very funny fountain caretaker.

I was in front of the queue, and he asked me where was i from. LOL i was totally stunned, and in the end replied Singapore, and surprisingly that was a correct answer. =P

Peaceful seconds went by, and then he asked me what group was i from. I was even more stunned, cos i thought that u need to be from an organization to enter the fountain which was not the past practice, he saw my stunned expression and he said "oh nvm if u dont have a group is ok."

Thank goodness for that reply, or i will be answering Elite 4 to him.

So after that we went to touch the fountain, and I lost count of how many rounds we walked (maths fail), and so half the ppl behind me went to walk extra rounds, and half the group left after 3 rounds. =.=

So a happy friday night ended just like that.

Saturday morning CIP was worse than friday's, and the 4 of us simply have no mood to look for people. So just walked around more...

'Meaningful CIP' indeed. The only thing i really observed during this event is that there is area warning in the fountain area of bugis.

Oh yeah, i also put a hand print on a funny board. Maybe thats the most meaningful thing i ever done. =)

After the CIP event, we went to suntec city again, WL created another area warning by taking out the spaghetti out from the 7-11 oven. Thank goodness i avoided it =P

After that we went to burger king to do homework, just stone and emo there, and occasionally take out pen and see whether I can find out clues in doing the WEP assignment.

After that chiong out of Suntec and leave for the following night ROD event. ^^

Event 2: DMC ROD overnight camp

Glad I went to that camp. It was fun! ^^

The welcome was a bit formal, and I am just not used to be called 'alumni' although I am one. Anyway the dinner was late as usual, but the food was quite nice? Ate a lot of fish, while watching lame comedies...

8pm

Suddenly out of nowhere there is a lucky draw, and my package had a ping-pong ball with a '50' on it. I just stoned there, and then Tan Yuan gave me his ball (think straight please) which is labelled '51', so i just watched who won the prizes.

Xin Hao won the 3rd prize which is a 5 dollars popular voucher, and TY's ball won a 10 dollars voucher which in the end is mine... Oh well =P

Next the whole club went to IT-Rex to watch a movie called 'Recording'? Forgot what's the name, but it is a movie which lets the audience feel involved. I was snacking with the fish i brought inside, and i tink most of the club members felt entertained rather than learn something meaningful. Something disapproved by a professional but is exactly like me all the time. ^^

11.45pm

Then i went night shooting with a group of guys (sec 2), and i acted as the ghost. =.= There was thing funny thing that the camera had dew, maybe is condensed water as we came out from IT Rex, but the words we saw were just simply funny. So just act...

One funny scene is when i supposed to walk down the stairs and grab the junior, but his screaming was described as 'kena raped'... LOL!

Back to editing in the IT-rex. Felt sleepy, but managed to stay on. After all the groups had edited, we watched all the productions. Some were good... Keyword: Some

After that is some peanut butter supper bread, and some nutella, and then sleeping time for most of the juniors.

Meanwhile i played hide and seek with the sec 4... 4 were easy to find, 4 were not, haha... ^^

After that got really tired and slept a while, and when i woke up it was already 8am+ or 9am. Ate breakfast, which consisted of some donughts, some bread, it was quite nice, and thanks to Marissa i got a nicely-decorated breakfast. ^^

Then it was some random cleaning up, i helped out a small bit and went home.

Yea enjoyed myself. :)

Part 3: 09S16 class outing

15th June class outing to Sentosa.

A bright and beautiful morning awaits, and as usual, Warren is late for meeting up at JE MRT station, and then I, WL and PH saw BH actually going home cos he went to sentosa the previous day. So travelled to harbourfront and stoned there a while.

Warren came, and then we went to the bus interchange hawker center to rest a while. Jin Long ordered chicken rice and when his order came, Warren made a comment on eating chicken rice so early, well he got snapped by the auntie who served. Oh well =)

The class is as late as usual? In the end, about half the class went, we then travelled to the beach by bus, while CB's gang travelled by the Sentosa Express.

Noon -

Played beach soccer, and watch people shouting to one another to fetch the soccer ball. Zhi Yong had successfully caught my attention by shouting out loud and then made me lose the soccer ball.

Afternoon -

Cycled with Ronald, WL, PH and Shawn. So fun, until we realised the time is almost up, and we rushed back to the cycling station. ^^

Then stoned at the sand, and hear MY complaning about JL throwing sand into his hair, and hear Warren saying that MY alarmed the whole group about losing a valuable item, which is actually his comb. LOL! I also had nothing to do, and therefore i tried to figure out the lyrics of the song 'Even If'. The song tune is rather nice, just that some words i still cant figure out what the singer is singing.

Evening -

Sentosa Express back to Vivocity, and i turned into a half-cooked lobster. [Not literally of course] We searched for many places to decide what the class wants to eat. In the end, pizza hut. The waitress was lost when I and Defa said table for 25, so the manager came and helped out. We formed a 2n+2

In conjunction with PJC 10th Anniversary celebration, i shall celebrate my 17th birthday.

Ya crap lol.

Anyway these 2 days are relatively fun? Even though tomorrow is going to be a horrible day (Wednesday), i still left aside some time to have fun. =)

1st June 2009

Morning: Went to watch movie with ZH, SY and Tean.

9.15am - Went to KFC to emo and study geog, ate the platter meal. =P
10.20am - Bought 2 cheesy sausages and camped outside the cinema.
10.30am - Watched Night at the Museum 2. Well the movie was really nice, it had a few sections which were quite lame? But unlike FF4, and X-men: Origins of Wolverine, at least i still knew the plot and not lost... Nice movie, go watch if you have the time. ^^

After the movie, we went to the sky garden at the 5th floor and looked around. Nice scenery and loads of kids were playing with water. But it was just a very hot day, and so we went back quickly. The door was interesting though. It said -

"Auto door, push with hand" o_O

Lunch time - Ate the fish rice and sprite with ice-cream. Hmm!
After lunch - slacked and stoned with SY in the library.

2.15pm to 4.45pm - slacked at home and fighting monsters in the time temple.

Evening: Studied geog with Warren and WL.

5.10pm - Wandered around lot 1, dunno where to eat, and went to the sky garden again. =.=

The evening was as hot as usual, and somehow a patch of water looked like... But nvm, we laughed all the way back to the air-con area again. =)

We then walked to pastamania, and after a long time of analysis, evaluation, criticism and judging, we decided not to go pastamania =.=

Well we went to LJS instead, and i ate the Kajun chicken? [For a moment i forgot how to spell]
Then we stoned there, ate, crapped and wen long was busying typing out geog notes which he copied out from the geog notes. We also talked about the Coffee making process i watched ytd morning, and i seriously think that trying to make a coffee for a full 15 mins is seriously time wasting, and if you drop the coffee, you can really swat flies and clean up.

After that we went to the library, and for some reason WL refused to eat with warren and me at 9pm, and so i took his bag away.

Then something unexpected happened...

WL actually abandoned his bag with his laptop inside. Best la!

Well that's all for 1st June. ^^

2nd June - Today!

Today i went to the Shangari-La hotel with my parents to eat high-tea, cos my father got a 100 dollars voucher he got from a lucky draw 10 months ago. ^^

The place is totally grand, a place which dosent really suit me, well it may suit SY though.

The cost for a weekday high tea is 36 dollars (excluding 17% charges). Hmm, it should be comfortable, as there is a nice scenery outside, comfortable armchairs, and nice classical music being played. However, the over-grandness do make ppl feel nervous. o_O

Anyway the high-tea food was nice? The food obviously has a higher quality than other buffets which i ate before, the only thing bad is the lack of wide variety of food by Sakura. But then again, this is called a high-tea, so the tea should be the main point lol. ^^

Speaking of tea, the starting menu for the choosing of tea really scared me. 102 different types of tea they served!!! And some tea do need extra 8 dollars. Imagine if u ordered a random cup of tea and 1 cup of that tea cost 8 dollars more. Wow...

The customer service was really excellent? The waiters and waitresses frequently come to clear the used plates to make sure that every new plate used is new. o.o (duh.) This high-tea is actually a place for ppl to chat and eat some random things at the same time, but I go there is to really eat lol, so i tink the waiters must be fed up to clear up our table food so many times... hahaha...

Of course i embarassed myself a bit, like the mini chocolate balls dropping into my shoes, and i can describe this kind of actions as noobish, but oh well, too grand. I won't come here if there is no other special reason in future, lol. ^^

Anyway it is really an experience, and i must thank my parents for bringing me to this place to experience and eat. ^^

So that's about what i did for the 2 days, and come to think of it, it is time to start panicking for the geog exam tomorrow.

the jellyfish is back. This post will be a reflection on late 2008 and early 2009.

This period can be the great leap, as it was the O lvl and start of JC life.

-It was meaningful, with scoring well in O lvl... ^^
-I tried working as a typist.
-Adapted to JC life.

I think i took the 1st half of 2009 too lightly, and i should continue taking it lightly in the 2nd half. Make everything easy while doing work, don't need to add additional stress as there is a lot of stress in everyday life already. Lol.

Try to be interested in geog, which i have not been interested in for 2 years or more?

The next minute will be the start of another new year for me. ^^

May the force be with me, haha... ^^
