the jellyfish is back! Posting about SOH 3rd outing, which was very random. :V

Outing initial class: Unclassified makan!
Outing final class: Meow, nom, whale, square, cake!

*Everything can be predicted nicely, but to make the happenings continue as usual is another matter*

I think got recent news report that mentioned every elderly has to fall down at least once in their life (wth theory is that), so night shifts just got busier for HDB areas! So although I should have slept after my 3 night duties, I still went for the outing. =P

So me, WL, Nat mei, Eugene (aka apple), YL and ZY went for this random outing, not hosted by me of course~ =P

Time the outing is supposed to start: 1400
Time I reached Somerset: 1335
Time 2nd person reached: 1401
Time last person reached: 1445

So ya la, just walked around 7-11 and HMV, looking at the CD tracks while listening to the songs being broadcasted. 7-11 was broadcasting 'Make it last forever' which made me stoned at the mineral water and other cookies for a few minutes. Owl city had a new album? Hmm... Didn't look through much as ZY called to say that he had arrived at location (1401). YL arrived at around the same time, thus we went to walk around Somerset 313 random shops and cold storage.

I got a big bottle of mineral water. ZY went to get a bottle of small pepsi.

me and YL -> O_O

When we reached the end of the Cold Storage trip, ZY had swiftly changed the Pepsi to a bottle of Coke, thus the coke company had an odd man out. =P ZY is really a loyal supporter of coke! Cheers! :D

Me: "Eh! How come suddenly got 1 ulu bottle of pepsi here sia!?"

--------------

The rest arrived by 1445 (45 mins late), so with a bottle of coke and many hungry people, the outing began auspiciously! ^^ Apparently the plan was to grab and bite and catch a movie, so we head to Orchard Cienleisure to choose a movie that suits everyone and dosen't clash with Euegne's book-in timing. I suggested 'My GF can see ghosts', since I have no idea what's good for everybody. My mei wasn't so enthu though, as that movie was a Korean movie and it was rather troublesome to read the subtitles.

Nat: "Eh kor, that movie is Korean leh, have to read subtitles very ma fan lor..."
Me: "I know Korean... (movie, but read very fast de mah)"
WL: "Huh Jeff you know Korean!?"

The bracket represents the things I wanna say, but do not have the chance to say. Seems like most people do not really want that movie, and we ended up settling for 'What to expect when you're expecting'. Sounds nice too~! Kena dragged to buy the tickets with her, which most people followed and proceeded to take out the $10 notes from the wallets, until Eugene just throw a $100 note at the cashier.

Rich and style like a boss! (claps!) ZY was very interested in the coke picture and banner pasted on the table and the nearby walls. He kept laughing at the times when YL kena disturbed because of Trecia's absence. =P

--------------

1520hrs

It's the 1st time I heard of the fast food 'Everything with Fries (EwF)', apparently it was recommended by my mei when she tried it the last time with her friends. Rather nice, but I don't have the impression that it has other outlets in SG. Few types of burgers, 5 types of fries, soft-drinks. A burger for $6.90, a complete set for $9.90. I must say that there was seriously nothing special about the fries, because it is about the same as other fast food fries, straight cut, thin, but with additional seasonings like Salt+Vinegar, curry (which tasted like Instant noodles' condiments), plain, etc. Don't need to elaborate on the drinks ya?

I ordered a (dory fillet?) fish burger with cheese and mushrooms inside. That burger is delicious! The fish serving is quite large, compared to some miserable serving at other places. The mushroom cheese combination was great also, although it's not as good as BK's mushroom swiss burger. A rather big burger, so actually it's quite all right being $6.90 if you a moderately filling food item. Quite a number ordered the bacon and egg burger. The egg tasted like egg (who said that?). My mei ordered a crispy chicken fillet burger which she said she had no idea what was that. I tried a mouth and recognised that to be prawn paste chicken.

Nat: "Eh kor, how you know is prawn paste, the name like Korean leh."
WL: "Jeff knows Korean mah!"
Me: "Alamak, the taste is being stated at the cashier counter luh~"

ZY seemed very hesitant to eat the vege, but managed to finish it. WL didn't touch his coleslaw~! I'm sure most people should know that Mac's seaweed shaker fries contained a small percentage of sugar in the seasoning, thus making the fries sweet. ZY put 2 packets of white sugar to his fries, which was er... Not nice.

Nat had trouble finishing her fries, so Eugene helped her out greatly, while I took out a few of them to make a love message using 8 french fries. Kena condemned upside down by almost everybody. WL decided to make a much better one using extra sugar and ketchup packets, along with his untouched coleslaw.

Fresh Coleslaw coated with red loving ketchup, coated with white sugar for perfect sweetness~  Nice right!? I still find it strange how come WL dosen't have a gf, haha~ :V

98.7FM had a mini race that day in Orchard Central, so we listened to the random live broadcasting while savouring / chatting randomly. =D The rest of the remaining time was spent walking around Scape. Much more crowded than usual, with more people selling random stuff both in and out of the proper mall. Didn't see Shawa, probably his off day. :/

~~~~~
1650hrs
While on the way up to the cinema lobby, there was an interesting movie poster 'The Hedgehog'. However the animal which the characters were carrying looked more like a cat than a proper hedgehog. ZY was laughing at that for quite some time and shouting 'LAZERCAT' at that poster. Because of LazerCat, meow~!
YL: O_O
WL: =V
Me: XD
Coincidentally JH was also there and watching the same movie as us. I think he should be a Signaller (wth is that) now? Definitely looks much happier than the time he was studying. Hmm~ There is a small stall that sells subs / salads and is extremely expensive (about $12 pet set). A bottle of coke cost $2.70 at the vending machine, which turned ZY off totally.
To be honest, I didn't understand the movie storyline. If you are mentioning about handling different stages of pregnancy and how to handle the woman's emotional stress, that's still all right, otherwise the whole continuous movie is a blank to me. Some scenes are rather funny though (Like the woman introducing breastfeeding to the children / speech on the stage), best to bring along gf to see. ZY understands everything for strange and unknown reasons. So hmm... Although he looks cute, but the innocent part must have a query in front! Wahaha~ :D
----------------------------------
1900 hrs
Many people seemed to be fascinated by the 'Gachapon' machines at the basement. So we took a look at the toys they offered and the price. $3 - $4 for a capsule is a rather ridiculous price, I wonder who will play that.
~Ding ding! You got yourself 2 red potions~!
Next up is slacking / chatting about life time at Starbucks @ 313 Somerset! I ordered ice-chocolate with cream? Eugene, WL and my mei ordered other drinks with coffee contents.
Nat: "Kor! Why you come SB never order coffee to drink de?"
Me: "Er... Cos I do not drink / like coffee since young?"
Nat: "Try la!"
Me: "Nah."
Nat: "But kor, not drinking coffee at SB is just like going to KFC without eating chicken but eating fish instead."
Me: "Huh wad?"
Nat: "Just like Mac is famous for its fries, then you go there and don't eat fast food."
WL: (Another relevant example)
Jeff: "So is just like going to burger king without eating burger right?"
Nat/WL: "Ya la!" ^^
Alamak! I actually wanted to go to the Cold Rock Cafe for some ice-cream instead, but nvm! This iced-chocolate is still not bad!
(To be continued!)
the jellyfish is back! Posting about today's random FAP trip! :D
Yea, everybody is working and my cousin is resting to meet her bf tonight, so must well go out for a walk. =P
-----------
Started out the morning by going to library @ Esplanade. The durian was very quiet in the morning, with some random people walking around to take photographs / read the exhibitions. Most are tourists, so I am considerably the odd one out over there. =P The circular lift was rather cool and is definitely complete compared to the last time when the circle line wasn't completed.
The library is on the 3rd floor and it looks really different from other libraries! The most different is that there is no children in this library, compared to other regional / public ones. ^^ The library is divided into music, dance, films and 2 other sections which I forgot, unlike the common ones where the categories are adult, reference and children.
[A group of people were filming at the library cafe, probably for a random scene, totally random.]
So yep, just walked around looking at this arts library. Somehow this library reminds me of the Celadon and Goldenrod City pokemart! If you know what I mean, haha~
1. Music section
I think all the libraries have devoted a small section to the performing arts. So imagine this library to have a ridiculously-exaggerated amount of books about music / musicians / histories / etc over that small range of decimal points. Didn't really browse through though!
This section have a lot of music CDs! Classics, english pop, other languages songs, rocks. Warren may like this place, since he listens to a lot of old songs~ There is Jay Chou's CD inside, although I can't find fragrant rice as one of the tracks in that album. Apparently you have to unlock the CD at the counter to listen to the tracks, and they cannot be borrowed out of the library. I saw one of Katy Perry's CD, so went to unlock and listen at the listening tables. Not bad sia! A different experience from listening at home. =P
I also found out what it the only Owl City item owned by NLB! It's actually a score book for people to learn to play 'Ocean Eyes' songs. Rather interesting, but definitely not for me to appreciate, cos everything is a mess to me. :X
There were also loads of other score books / sheets. Some looked rather ancient for random reasons, so there were quite a number of librarians taking care of those.
2. Dance section
Choreography C4 Direction!
The dance section was rather small, with a row of books about choreography / different types of dances in the word / etc. There was also a small exhibition over there. Not really interesting to me, no Audi things there though!
3. Films section
I think 1/4 of the library was devoted to this section. There were quite a number of racks and shelves for a lot of movies, esp the older ones. I saw Saw I and II over there, was Avatar there? Documentaries, drama serials, random old movies... Just browsed through the titles. Should make another trip to probably look at those again!
Come to think of it, a lot of movies have already been posted online for people to download and watch. Perhaps this section can be a museum for hard-copy original movies which were not that popular but contained some artistic values for appreciation. :)
There were mirrors and band rooms at this section as well. Perhaps any Singapore band would like to have a concert practice inside that room? It looks very nice! =D
-------------------------------------------------
At 2pm, I left the library for lunch. Took some random photos from my phone. Not of a good quality, but hey at least it can be seen! =P
A very big white tent, with some people chillin' under it~
The view from behind the Esplanade. The library is located on the 3rd floor. There is a rooftop garden, which I didn't visit. Should probably go there the next time. :)
Fountains, near Fullerton Hotel?
A view of the IR, hmm.
Ah, more buildings.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
A lot of tourists were taking pictures with the sea and the Merlion? It should be the 1st time that I have walked in the CBD areas, so I sort of lost my way in there, until I saw the Lau Pat Sat @ Cross Street. That should be the name, if I have not forgotten.
Ate a plate of kuay teow and 2 'Dong Gu Mai' (mushroom dumplings). Surprisingly the food prices are the same or maybe even cheaper than some food courts in certain shopping centers! The average is around $2.50 - $3.50 for local specialities. The DGM is a bit expensive though, but the stew that went with it was great, so that sort of made up for the price difference. Not a lot of ppl at 2pm, probably all the office personnel have went back to work. :)
Intended to walk to the national library, but got lost along the way and ended up at Tanjong Pagar MRT station... *Mission Fail*
Oh, I tried the strawberry cheese Chewy cream puff in Bugis. That cream puff was indeed hard to chew! O_O
Went to the 7th floor and stoned a bit while reading a random applied physics (circuits) book. The scenery was much nicer to appreciate than the laws in the book, hmm. I think the air force were rehearsing for the upcoming NDP. I saw a guy jumping down straight, and suddenly he was rotating in circles and sort of dropped to the side at a very fast speed. The other guys went to this direction smoothly and did not rotate like him. Hoped that guy is ok and not doing that for a stunt~
Got irritated by 2 china girls whispering in a loud volume and proceeded to the 10th floor to visit the gallery. The gallery showed what happened during World War 2 in Singapore, along with plans, maps, and ranks that represent the British and the Japanese army. Rather interesting. There was also a list of soldiers who had died while fighting for the war. A few officers, and A LOT of Low-ranking soldiers. 1 minute of silence for them~
"Everything happens for a reason." - MS said this.
I played maple that night as Trecia asked why I had MIA for so long. There is a new cannon shooter job and there's a monkey playing along with this character. Rather cool! WL would like this a lot. =P
That's all for this anyhow trip. :D
the jellyfish is back!
Posting about 3 items / events / happenings / ??
1. Friday movie, The Avengers
2. Marsiling cc singing?
3. TP!
================================
1.  Friday movie, The Avengers
Watched with WL, War and PH at Lot 1 during the evening. Apparently nobody was working on that day except for War, so waited for him to come and watched the movie, without eating a double down burger in the cinema. :)
Comments above the movie: . (100% copied from WL)
No la, i dont think it is a really 'die-also-must-watch' movie, although I would say it is a really nice and rather exciting film. Definitely nicer than Cabin In the Woods. =P
Reached home at around 11pm I think? I think we ate dinner at subway, while listening to PH and War spamming army things as usual~
--------------------------------------------
2. Marsiling Community Center Singing
I learnt that the CC at 300+ is Fuchun CC and not Marsiling. The journey to MCC was not exactly pleasant, considering the drizzle and the surprisingly huge number of harmless bugs in the fields. We reached 10 minutes late, and was apparently the last group to have reached there.
The place is surprisingly clean! There is food being offered there at a really reasonable price, seriously. Garlic bread, hot dogs, juices at less than $2? $10 per hour for a large room, sort of wasted for me, JM and Tean only. La la la, it dosen't matter.
The songs are a bit difficult to find though, I can't seem to find International Love inside? No Owl City songs? We 3 just anyhow sing and ate garlic bread which JM has kindly brought. Very delicious! ^^
Nothing really interesting. At 6pm, Tean left home for dinner while me and JM proceeded to 130 for dim sum and vege rice. Nothing special about the dinner too, except that the cats in Marsiling really liked to stalk people and followed us to a few blocks away... I didnt know cats love siew mai and prawn dumplings. :V
-------------------------------------------
3. TP!
Passing grade: Accumulation of no more than 20 demerit points with no immediate failure mistakes.
12 points!
4 - Delay in moving off (2x2 + 1 free)
4 - Fail to look out for traffic
2 - Incorrect braking
2 - Fail to check if car door kena closed properly. -_-
Yea, one of the most stupid things to get 2 points for, but I got it! (As if like achievement sia, haha)
Actually everything was rather smooth, esp the road part. The circuit was all right, except for the parallel parking, took about 3mins+ total to park and move out. -_-
Tester: "If you don't release your brake, then you can't move your car, then of course you cannot straighten your car! Aiyo..."
This is the modified test woodlands test route which I took. The road is surprisingly quiet, and for some reason the large vehicles / vans / trucks were staying behind me at a great distance. So any lane changing, turnings were very simple as there is no need to judge the rear vehicle's speed. ^^
Tester's comments: I keep on delay in moving off, the type who only moves when there is absolutely no cars on the road. Otherwise safe and proper, and oh must check whether the car doors are closed properly or not before driving.
Alamak!!! =D
That's about all for the very anyhow TP test. The next time I drive a car should be dunno how many years later, or will I even drive 1? =P
the jellyfish is back!
"Starships, were meant to fly! Even if the sky is falling down! Down, down~"
War: SMLJ!
WL: Sing SMLJ!
KY (Underfame): Suck my liquid juice!
This basically summarises the whole Orchard outing with WL, PH and War. No la, that was a random shouting by War, which was interestingly quoted by WL. =P
------------------------
Met up with War and PH in the morning and proceeded to Orchard Cineleisure to makan Ishi Mura buffet and watch 'Cabin In the Woods'. WL didnt turn up as I think he was still sleeping / taking care of this brother / doing other things. Surprisingly it was WL who suggested eating a japanese / sushi buffet, and the suggestor didnt turn up~ :V
The buffet is exactly the same as the one I went during the 1st guild outing, except that it is in a different place. Seems to be more cold than the one in Dhoby Gahut, and $3 cheaper compared to the dinner price. Sampled the egg sushi as usual while waiting for the cooked dishes to be served and listening to War talking about the ala-carte prices of the individual plates~ PH seemed to be enjoying his plate of baby octopus.
Normal plate: $1.48
White plate: $3.48
Red plate: $6.48
War: "As long as I can eat more than $20 I am ok already. So now 5 plates will be $7.50 already! Jeff how many plates you eat already?"
Me: "Er... I think 5 plates also bah. So same price lo."
PH: "Ha! You see my octopus is a red plate, then I ate 1 white plate of food, total $10 already!" ^^
I saw a plate of Mochi and decided to eat that as it was rather nice the last time I tried with WL. The taste is nice as usual, and while I was savouring the sweetness of green tea...
War: "Woah! This one is a white plate! 赚到!"
Warren you very cute leh!
War and PH talked about their army lives and about PH's new girl. Come to think of it, it was an extremely long time since we saw PH, apparently his shift is like 1 week on duty, 1 week off duty. Mine is work 2 duties, off 2 duties. War is Sunday book in, Friday book out. The chances of everybody meeting together with 3 different shifts is seriously very low. So just chat about life and nothing really interesting happened, until the cooked food came. =P
Oh, another thing different from the one in Dhoby Gahut is that all the food is served at once! The last time the dishes were served with a slight time delay. As PH described, the amount of food is rather 'intimidating'.
- Fried chicken karage
- Chicken Teriyaki sticks
- Softbone chicken sticks
- Pork belly sticks!!!!
- Potato karage
- Shitake sticks!!!
- Random cold dish
- Beef!!!
- Teriyaki Chicken chop
- Gyozas
Did I miss out anything else? Based on past experiences, I tried every single dish except for the cold dish and the pork belly sticks. =P
As usual, the mushrooms were nice, the fried chicken was all right. The potato karage was somehow like a fried mashed potato and is really delicious! Should have ordered more of that. The gyozas were crispy but rather tasteless? O_O
The beef, as PM Hazlina would describe, Happiness! The meat was solid, not difficult to chew off (unlike some like rubber), and the taste was really great! Out of the whole 1 big patty, I cleared about 70% of that.
The softbone chicken was not nice. Rather hard to chew and dry. I didnt know that was the softbone item and just ate the softbone together with the meat, until later when War started clearing that dish while commenting that the bone was not exactly soft, and then asked me where is the bone which I should have spitted out before.
Me: There was a bone!? o_O
PH dramatised the effect by spitting out the bone and it hit the plate with a solid 'clack clack' sound! The solidness of the soft bone was clearly defined!
Basically other than the shitakes and potato karage, the rest were all War's item orders. So i cleared all his items except for the softbone chicken and pork bellies (which added up to about 6 sticks). PH was laughing all the way. =P I had enough of the pork belly from the 1st guild outing and would not try that again. Who says experience isn't valuable, cheh, haha~
----------------
We ordered a few more cooked items and desserts as most of us felt rather full already. PH ordered a macha (green tea) ice-cream, a small dish of cut fruits and a plate of peas?
I ordered another dish of shitake, some cream puffs and eclairs.
War ordered a vanilla ice-cream and continued to struggle with his pork bellies.
The cream puffs and eclairs were awesome! I think the fillings inside was a small serving of vanilla ice-cream instead of cream in most puffs. Ordered another serving of the cream puffs~ Wanted to order another plate of eclairs too, but I scraped the idea as War couldnt finish his vanilla ice-cream.
After approx 30 seconds since I started eating the ice-cream...
War: "Please help me finish this ice-cream, slowly and you can do it!"
Me: "Finish already la!"
Should use that style to his pork bellies, that may act as a catalyst to finish the lot. Haha! The vanilla ice-cream was soft and had a unique taste compared to other vanilla ice-cream. Was it sweeter and had other flavourings inside? I tried 1 small mouth of Macha ice-cream from PH, will never try it again.
The last guild outing we didn't try the ice-cream. Current status: CLEAR!
War ended up stuffing his pork bellies inside the ice-cream cup. The waiter spilled some peach tea on the plate of chicken teriyaki sticks, thus we didnt complete that dish. That's about if for the wonderful lunch. Pity WL didnt come for the lunch. :/
==================================================
We still had slightly more than an hour, so we walked around Scape to watch people experimenting / perfecting their skills on basketball and skateboarding. Rather interesting~
3.10pm - M18 Cabin In The Woods!
Surprisingly the person didnt check on War's identity. War has grown up! (WL sure will like this)
This movie has won the place of 'The worst movie I have ever watched' in my opinion. I seriously don't get the story, the plot, the origin and of course the ending. How the heck did 5 people who wanted to go for a holiday be targeted for a ritual? The ending was a big great hand coming out and I have no idea did the main characters die in the end. The cabin machiam Hunger Games forest sia!
My rating . / 10
War's rating: ? / 10
PH's rating: Can negative?
I dont really recommend watching this movie. However if your curiosity is overwhelming, then pls go watch and most probably you will understand the movie to a greater extent. :)
==================================================
4.50pm
WL has arrived at Orchard, and also time for PH to leave for his date. WL lost his way through Orchard Road and ended up at Scape near a giant Pikachu~ I think most of our outings were in ulu areas like CCK & Jurong, thus coming to Orchard may be a different experience~ =P
Unlike RJ, he goes to Orchard / town area all the time. Lol random comment!
Orchard Road seems to be a slightly more high-class place compared to the suburban areas. People would wear nicer clothings, talk in a more proper way? So when War had a conversation with his army buddy, it would be hilarious when War suddenly shouted
SMLJ!? [Short for Si Mi Lan Jiao in hokkien. In english is it 'What Cock?']
WL somehow found this interesting and decided to quote War for the rest of the evening. Drank a bowl of Cheng Ting at Koufu, while listening to War and WL spamming SMLJ at each other for various reasons. After that, we went to Taka and had dinner at Breeks Cafe. Why Breeks? War wanted to clear his 'Free refillable pepsi card. (Which costs $2.50 per cup at Breeks)
I forgot what War ordered. WL ordered fish and chips while I ordered a peach / strawberry ice-cream. Nothing special about these 2.
The pepsi caused a lot of confusion, when they say free reillable pepsi, it dosent mean the pepsi is free, and it dosent mean the 1st cup is free. So only if you request for a 2nd cup, that 2nd cup would then be free. War only drank 2 cups, so thats not really worth it... The manager and waitresses were really polite, but they forgot to serve the ice water.
Self-service lo, the manager seemed very sorry, which actually I don't mind. Helping myself with ice-water is better than putting your hands in the air and waiting till eternity. :D
WL seemed to be rapping 'Starships' and 'What dosen't kill you makes you stronger' instead of singing. So when I disturb his "Starships, were meant to fly" with "Even if the sky is falling down!" [Down by Jay Sean], reaction: sing SMLJ!?
After dinner, we went to Taka and the underpass to Orchard for a walk, while singing random songs that could make War crazy. The candy shop was rather fascinating, selling loads of colours of M&Ms, different flavours of jellybeans, along with common merchandises that were made much more special with cartoon characters / candy characters. =D The price isnt attractive though.
Went into the Gramophone store and browsed through the decent number of CDs. I couldnt find BS2T CD for unknown reasons...
That's about it for the outing! I went to find my aunt to have chicken rice at Balestier in the night. (Forced myself to eat)
After a full dinner, KY asked me, eh wad does SMLJ mean? Is it 'Suck My Liquid Juice'?
Wakao! Go get rid of your liquid juice on yourself or a girl la, anyhow sia!! =X
Singing off~ (That's very different from signing off, in case you misread, haha!)
the jellyfish is back! Went for PM chat on Wed, which was rather interesting. Won't post about the contents, but just imagine it to be like a 'Just Follow Law' movie in real life.
Of course in medical setting. The PM chat was also like a transformer.
=======================================================================
Not the one as amazing as above, but the one below!
Yea this is the transformer. The PM chat stepped-up the small minor consequences of simple mistakes and stepped-down the seriousness of the major problems. Other than that is was ok la, the cookies were rather nice. PM Saiful gave a random scented soap which my mother liked it~ ========================================================================
A Rota 1 / 4 shot. A very rare chance for all PMs to be together ever since A313 was taken out.
Taken: 25/4/2012
Last medic intake: 122
Curved Row: Medic Goh, Medic Hafiz, Medic Kane, PM Saiful, Medic Jeff, PM Jamil, PM Rahul, Medic Zul, Medic Amin, PM Hazlina, PM Adeline.
 Rota number in order: OH, 2, 1, 4, 1, FRP, 1, 1, 4, 1, 1
 Under the 311 callsign: PM Fazly (4)
 Oh wait, Hafiz and PM Jamil arent Rota 1 & 4, but they make 2 nice additions anyway. =P
 Goh and Kane looked very tired, must be the weather~ I can see that Hafiz likes this! :D
 Who took this photo for us? Hmm, Hamizam isnt in this photo... O_O
 =======================================================
That's all! :V
the jellyfish is back! Posting about guild outing! :D
Date: 24/3/2012
No. of ppl: 7
2nd outing of SD/SOH! Seemed to be more interesting than the 1st one and somehow lasted longer also. Ppl who went: Me, my mei, WL (ruleofchaos), Trecia (Kardo), YL (Lazer), Eugene (Apple) and Goh Zhang Yi, ZY for short (Sharp). Yea it was a rather pleasant surprise ZY went for the outing and it is definitely the 1st time any guild member saw him in real life. ^^
YX didnt go as he had a case of fall in the drain. Please rest well. :)
================================
So about the outing, most things went rather smoothly, esp the time.
Time I wanted the outing to start: 1430
Time I asked most ppl to reach: 1330
Time latest person reached: 1350
Time I asked Eugene & my mei to reach: 1215
Time Eugene & my mei reached: 1320
So everybody was here before 2pm, nice! :D The order of the ppl reached also changed somehow due to the timing, YL was very surprised when I said that my mei and Eugene reached already.
"Huh they so fast reach!? I thought they will be very late de..."
So after fetching YL and Trecia, ZY said he would be waiting at cheers, so went to the one at AMK hub and surprisingly nobody was there waiting, until I realised AMK station had another Cheers outlet. Malu sia, wait there 5 minutes for nothing. On we go to the correct outlet and saw a small kid waiting there, and I was hoping that it was not ZY, cos he really looked like a small kid! So i called ZY...
and the small kid picked up his phone. OMG that one really ZY sia! His face really looked so cute!!!!!!!!! Quote my mei: "Got any girls want to pinch your cheeks?"
After everybody has reached, we proceeded to Broadway Plaza and realised that the K-box outlet was closed down already. The lady suggested another outlet also at AMK area, and to our dismay the outlet is also closed for renovation!
"You may want to try going to the outlet at Broadway Plaza, the outlet should still be running its business as usual, sorry for the inconvenience caused." :)
Thanks ar! Lucky no credit card, or else I would have wasted $12.25 to reserve a room.
YL was being funny when we stopped at the 2nd floor accidentally, and he shouted out "WHAT IS THIS!?" at a chinese medicine store. Sibei Paiseh sia!
We decided to go to another area for a k-box outlet. So I just made sure everybody brought enough money to take a taxi. "YL how much u bring? 30? Trecia? 30? ok. ZY?"
Pure innocent voice: "100 dollars!" :D
WOAH SIA LA! Almost everybody had the same response as me. =P ZY seemed happy about it, and celebrated by drinking a can of coke in the lift down.
-------------------------
1500hrs
Apparently Eugene said that he was late because the taxis he took broke down along the road, thus he would have to flag for another one, therefore wasting a lot of time. Since thats the case, I didnt share a cab with him, but instead shared with WL and ZY.
Proceeded to Hougang Plaza, which is near to Hougang Mall and not Point, which cost $6.70. Talked about random rubbish, WL's morning CCA visit? Waking up early during mornings, life, etc. I am guessing the uncle is honest enough to bring us to our destination within the shortest route possible, cos we seriously have no idea where is the place. WL said that we should have boarded the 2nd taxi then told the uncle that we wanted to follow Eugene's taxi, and ended up saying thats nt possible already as we left us.
Uncle: "your friends are all in front already. Serious, they are over there." (Points to a random taxi in front)
Eh Sia la! They are really faster than us! That's good also, just follow them all the way. Wahaha!
ZY seemed to be enjoying WL's humorous sentences. Finally got someone who appreciates WL's humour in life, if not i will be forever alone, wahaha!
===============================
Finally, we reached Hougang Plaza! Kbox was thankfully opened unlike its other branches at AMK. Should be a very long time since I came to Kbox (was it with Demas?), not counting the Party World KTV with Tean. The price was $16++ inclusive of 2 drinks and compulsory tidbits, which totaled up to $27 per person from 3pm to 7pm. >.<
A rather clean room and it was rather spacious for 7 people. YL became the DJ with my mei assisting him and ZY looking at the music list enthusiastically. Lol to ZY! The starting was rather awkward, since the player was playing some random songs which almost nobody knew except for the Chinese songs which YL knew. =P
It was obvious that after a few songs, my Mei is very comfortable with English songs and YL is a pro in Chinese songs! All those ulu old songs / recent Chinese songs are well sang by YL, regardless whether it is a fast, slow, rap, woman, band, etc.
Eugene: “YL’s voice very man wor.”
Dam sarcastic sia! But wad he said can be slightly true. After you enter NS, a lot of time you will have to shout to get your job done for unknown reasons, thus your voice would naturally grow deeper and is unable to be as high as before. So oh well! =P
Anyway did I mention I started to play AuditionSEA? Yea, a bit old for an almost 20-year old person to play such a game, but somehow I felt that there is a link between Audi and K-box singing, which is the beat! Some ppl can sing perfect to the beat, but some ppl who tried to sing are either too fast or too slow every time. In the end the whole song became a bit lag or a bit fast? Cough esp to WL, which every slow song was condemned by him and he made it to be a very fast song. Lol!
So with Audi’s Perfect / Great / Cool / Bad / Miss ratings… (Don’t count insane perfect)
YL singing Chinese songs (eg. Wu Ding): PERFECT (maybe can even chain!)
My mei singing ‘Liang Shan Bo & Zhu Li Ye’: GREAT
I try to sing Luo Zhi Xiang’s Ai Feng Tou: COOL [Esp the Hai Pai part]
ZY struggling with Don’t you wish your girlfriend was hot like me? : BAD
Eugene trying Justin Bieber’s Baby rap part with BLA BLA BLA: MISS!!!
I have no idea how come a whole list of Justin Bieber’s songs came up in the song list, and somehow it was apparently related to me, without me knowing it. Why me? Probably it is because of the previous outing.
Nat mei: “Eh last time guild outing the dishes (esp the sticks) all nobody de is all kor’s order, so this time all the unknown songs should be kor de! “
O_O
~
A lot of songs were relatively new to me although they have existed for a rather long time. So for a lot of time I and WL were busy munching away the assorted nuts and drinking the fruit juices. I tried the orange and mango juice, which both tasted all right, nothing really special. ZY drank coke for the 1st drink and wanted another glass for the 2nd round, which everybody was making noises and he ended up drinking ice lemon tea. Aw! Nobody really ate their nuts, so in the end most of the nuts ended up to me and WL. =P
WL said that when I said the nuts were nice, ZY went to try some also. How cute lol!
As time went close to 7pm, a lot of songs were anyhow sung. So I and WL sort of crashed the songs by singing random tunes / random words / random speed / translations to add humor to the song. ZY was laughing all the way. Imagine if there was a random song and WL started to sing “And I was like, Baby, Baby…” =V
I still didn’t know WL is a Justin Bieber fan. Hmm.
-----
After Kbox, we went for dinner at a coffee shop downstairs and ordered from the seafood stall. I ordered the sweet & sour fish rice + egg which tasted all right. ZY, WL and my mei ordered fried rice, Eugene ordered ginger pork rice, YL and Trecia ordered some random noodles or something?
The fried-ricers (wth lol) said it was extremely difficult to finish the rice, but they still finished it anyway. Oh wait, did WL finish the rice? His rice tasted rather plain, slightly more taste than Eugene’s white rice. My mei’s rice was very salty for unknown reasons; WL said it tasted the same.
ZY said the rice was actually rather nice, because he ate the rice while drinking coke!
Apparently ZY has a weekly quota & limit of drinking coke! Is it about 10 cans per week or something? His parents don’t allow him to drink coke at home, which I think make sense, or else he would have drank a carton a week. Wahaha! Cute sia!
Trecia left early as she had a curfew, YL chased after her, nobody wanted to be bright. ^^
-----
After dinner, we walked to Hougang mall (?) to watch ppl dance to random 80+bpm songs. No idea what event is it, but somehow we just stoned at them. WL complained it was rather hot, and thus we proceeded to mac after that. Ate a strawberry sundae (as predicted correctly by my mei) while watching ppl dispensing ketchup and chilli sauce. An interesting sight to watch, especially looking at kids struggling to reach for the dispenser. :D
Life simple pleasures. Oh wait, that’s Mr Bean's logan.
WL and ZY left for Jurong at around 10. The rest of us proceeded to play pool. I really suck at it, so just watched my mei and Eugene while listening to the loud ‘clubbing songs’. They played International love at least thrice.
It was until 3am then they decided to take a break and call it a night. Eugene paid for the whole pool session. Thanks! Accompanied them to the bus stop and I spent the rest of the time in Hougang alone until 6am. Never really spent the night outside by myself, so it was a rather interesting experience. ^^
On 2nd thoughts, nah. The whole place is just dark, with the food court cleaners cleaning the tables, the security guard sleeping and some other people sleeping on the tables. Went back to the pool place and stoned until 5am before going to the food court to stone again.
6am – Left Hougang. A very interesting outing indeed!
I slept from 7am to 4.30pm. Definitely refreshed for night duty! =D
End of post!
